Siauliai r. Dubysos aukstupio school is a secondary school consisting of three departments. 450 students aged 2- 17 attend the institution and 34 teachers work in it. The institution is situated in the suburbs of the fourth largest town of Lithuania – Šiauliai (north of the country). 6 IB themes are integrated into our institution’s curriculum.. One of the most important characteristics of a 21st Century teacher is to use the full range of digital-age tools to improve students’ engagement and achievement. Learning to move digital technology into the heart of the learning process is an ongoing challenge for educators. The IT tool usage is the priority in the school’s action plan of 2020 – all the teachers are encouraged to learn and master the chosen IT tool, integrate STEAM to the educational process, share the experience with the colleagues.

A ROCCA (E10020390 – Italy)

The “A Rocca” Associazione Artistica Culturale is a very active non-profit organization with over 10 years of experience in Erasmus+ running KA1 and KA2 projects. It is generally in the management of the programmes during their entire lifecycle including the design, development, implementation, follow up and dissemination of results. It has been providing training programme and internships with close monitoring so that the participants could achieve the intended personal and professional learning outcomes.

It acquired at the international level, strong experience in implementing EU Projects:

In the frame of the Erasmus+ Program.

It has been coordinating from 2010 training courses through its training course centre BrainUpLab using the as main methodology, a non-formal or informal approach and involving a great network of Eu trainers and local technical and vocational schools.

Dealing with the implementation of EU Projects with a specific focus on the following sectors:

  • lifelong learning education learner’s mobility
  • VET education and teaching methodologies
  • training and culture
  • youth work and volunteering
  • unemployment, entrepreneurship and startup businesses migration

It has been working on training, pilot tests, building curricula, making market and social researches and analyses, etc.

Currently, among the others, it is involved in the management of several Ka2 projects supporting the coordinators on the entire lifecycle including the design, development, implementation, follow up and dissemination.

It covers the role as a Sending, hosting and intermediary partner, cooperating with hundreds of EU organizations. Since 2010, it has participated in over 300 Erasmus+ projects. It has hosted VET trainees from a variety of sectors including graphic design, catering, tourism, hairdressers, gardeners, carpenter, mechanic, ICT, accounting, sales, art among others. The participants came from many countries including PL, ES, GR, HR, LV, SK, SE, CZ, HU, FR, AU, FI, DE, M, DE, CY, EW and BG.

It organizes the European cultural event linked to art, culture, short movies festival & cinema, street art festivals, exhibitions.

The collaborations with a large network of over 500 organizations at the thregional level ensure the full implementation and success of the project through a close follow up during all stages so that the target involved can have an optimal experience and the impact is multiplied.

(Mediterranean Innovative Society Association – MiSa) is an NGO from Turkey.

Misa was established with the aim of carrying out activities that will help the community, (especially young and middle- aged people) to adapt to the needs of our age and overcome the disadvantageous situations they may have by supporting them with innovative ideas and methods in Education through activities such as National and International projects, seminars, webinars, workshops, cooperations..etc.

Besides, MİSA aims to graduate young people (who are in the NEET category) digitally literate, socially active and skilfully employed individual for their sustainable communities. it aims to contribute to the development, integration and well-being of disadvantaged groups and to promote tolerance, justice and social responsibility in cooperation with other organizations and public institutions.

MİSA was established in 2021 by 50 Science, Maths, Language teachers, university science teaching staffs and education consultants to ensure the professional development of young people. Even though MİSA is a new NGO, it has 200 active members and the number is increasing day by day.

With its experienced trainers, active members and skilful members, ISA promotes training and implementation of systems relevant to the support of the VET, adult and young people. It cooperates with social sector organizations to promote policy changes and improvements to services. The scope of the association is to provide a flexible environment, non- formal education programs in various fields within the framework of lifelong learning. It has oriented its services toward the main guidelines and priorities stressed out by the European Commission. The main focus is given to skills training and initiatives that will enable people to be active in social and vocational life.

4DIMOTIKO SXOLEIO LAMIAS (E10183241 – Greece)

Our school is located in the centre of the town of Lamia. It was established in 1940. In the beginning, it was an orphanage and school for the orphans of the 2nd World War. It is a small school with 130 students aged 6-13 and 17 teachers. We share the building with another primary school and a kindergarten. The total number of pupils: 390. There are 15 students with some difficulties in the learning process and they are taught by 3 teachers specialized in this kind of teaching. A school nurse takes care of pupils with health issues in order to be included in all activities.

All the students are taught two foreign languages (English and French or German). We have immigrants from Albania, Russia, Romania and Bulgaria. Students and teachers are eager and hardworking and actively involved in several cultural, science and environmental activities. Parents are highly educated but many of them are unemployed at this time or doing jobs irrelevant to their studies. Parents Association has an active role in providing courses, seminars, workshops, creating educational and informative material and consultancy by specialists. Escola Básica do 1o com Pré-escolar da Cruz de Carvalho (E10168180 – Portugal)

EB1/PE Cruz de Carvalho is a primary school with preschool and kindergarten, located in the heart of Funchal (The bigger city in Madeira Island). It ́s located on the western side of the city in the middle of the Hospital neighbourhood.

Nowadays Funchal has 110.000 inhabitants and became a city with an urban and sophisticated character. Its natural beauty and the easy access to the rest of the island are the main reasons why most of the hotels are found here… It’s the perfect starting point to explore the most remote and natural secrets of Madeira Island.

The school was open in 1981 and at the moment it has almost 204 students split into classes from ages between 3-11. We have 10 classes (3 preschool and 2 for each grade). In preschool, we have 60 students and in primary school 144. Of these students, 30 have special needs (learning difficulties and/or disabilities). In the school, there are 41 teachers (curriculum, arts, physical education, ICT, special needs, study and music). Half of the students of the school are from low incoming A few ones were taken from the families (didn ́t have conditions to keep them) and another small group of students are from emigrants families (most of them from East Europe)

Hlíðaskóli  (E1007614 610 – Iceland)

Hlíðaskóli (Hlidaskoli) was founded in 1955. Hlíðaskóli is a comprehensive primary school with 470 students aged 6-16 and with around 100 staff members. Hlíðaskóli operates in accordance with the Compulsory School Act, the National Curriculum Guide for primary schools and the Reykjavík city education policy. Democratic working methods, creativity and free expression are integrated into all schoolwork and great emphasis is placed on the teaching of arts and crafts. The school has a sign language department and all students receive some training in Icelandic sign language. At Hlíðaskóli, great emphasis is placed on a good school atmosphere and a friendly community. The school's motto is responsibility, respect and kindness. They are a guiding light in all the work of Hlíðaskóli.
